As part of their protocol visits, and following their constitutional oath of office before His Excellency the President of the Republic, the President and members of the Public Procurement Authority visited the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Nabih Berri. During the meeting, Speaker Berri congratulated the President and members of the Public Procurement Authority on their appointment and highlighted the important role of the Authority in safeguarding public funds and strengthening the principles of transparency and integrity in public procurement. The Speaker also expressed his full support for the Authority and his confidence in its President and members, wishing them success in carrying out their national responsibilities. During the meeting, the President and members of the Authority presented the priorities of the new team and discussed the Authority’s role and mandate as part of this introductory tour, which aims to strengthen communication with constitutional institutions and promote the effective implementation of the Public Procurement Law. At the conclusion of the visit, the President of the Public Procurement Authority presented Speaker Berri with the Authority’s first report. The report provides a comprehensive overview, supported by statistical data, of the Authority’s activities from the entry into force of the Public Procurement Law through the end of December 2025.
